Coming Soon
This September, Westhampton will launch a NEW worship service, Sundays at 9:00 AM.
As Westhampton enters our second century, we sense God calling us to reach a new generation of families. The vibrant life of our Day School and the growth in our community open new doors for connection and outreach. In response, we’re launching a more casual, contemporary worship service with weekly communion, music led by guitar and piano, and a family-friendly atmosphere—while continuing to offer our traditional 11:00 service. We pray this new ministry will help Westhampton remain a life-giving place for worship, relationships, and faith formation for generations to come.
How Can You Help?
We are excited to join together to launch this new worship experience.
PRAYERS: We believe God is calling us to launch this new service, and we ask that you pray for this service, for the launch team, for those who will walk through our doors, and for all in our community. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your prayers.
PRESENCE: As a vital part of our church community, we ask for your consistent presence this fall in worship at 9:00 or 11:00. Your presence is an act of devotion, faithfulness, and love that helps our church grow and thrive. Thank you for your presence. Thank you for your presence.
GIFTS: As we enter our second century as a church, we are making significant investments in our building and in this new effort to reach our community. Your gifts continue to make these things possible. Thank you for your gifts.
SERVICE: As we prepare to welcome new guests this fall, we invite you to consider serving in some way. We need greeters, communion servers, tech volunteers, and warm, welcoming congregation members to make this new service inviting and successful. Please prayerfully consider how you might be called to serve. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your service.
WITNESS: We are working on ways to invite our community neighbors to this new service and we hope you will partner with us in this work. You can help us hang flyers around town and you can invite folks from your neighborhoods and workplaces to come worship at Westhampton. Thank you for your witness.

Frequently Asked Questions
WHY ARE WE CREATING A NEW SERVICE?
As Westhampton enters its second century, we sense a clear calling to reach a new generation of families. The vibrant life of Westhampton Day School and the remarkable growth in our surrounding community affirm this call. We believe God is leading us to invest intentionally in this next generation, so that Westhampton remains a life-giving place for worship, connection, and faith formation.
WHAT IS THIS NEW SERVICE?
Our new 9:00 AM service will offer a more casual, contemporary, and family-oriented expression of worship, with communion celebrated each Sunday. Music will be led by guitar, piano, and other instruments. Designed with families in mind, this service will offer a worship experience that is especially welcoming and accessible for children and youth.
WHO IS THIS SERVICE FOR?
While this new service is designed with young families and youth in mind, everyone is welcome. Our hope is to cultivate a multigenerational community, even as we intentionally invest in the next generation. As an outreach ministry, we pray this new expression of worship will bring growth that complements and enriches the life of our church.
WHEN WILL THIS NEW SERVICE START?
We plan to soft-launch this service beginning August 3—think of it as a time of practice and preparation. Throughout August, we’ll hold worship at both 9:00 and 11:00 AM. During these transitional Sundays, we’ll focus on fine-tuning the music, rhythm, and atmosphere as we prepare for the full launch on Sunday, September 7.
WILL THE 11:00 SERVICE REMAIN?
Yes, the 11:00 service remains an integral part of who we are and our worshipping life as a church. We are adding an additional worship experience with a different feel, but we are not changing our 11:00 service.
CAN I GO TO BOTH?
Yes! We’d love for you to try the 9:00 service and bring your warm, welcoming presence to new families and guests. At the same time, we want our 11:00 service to remain strong. You’re also welcome to alternate! We are one church community, and both services will be vibrant expressions of our shared life in Christ.
