Pastor Christy encourages all youth and adults to join us and discuss the significant proposals for General Conference 2024, follow along with the deliberations, review the outcomes and decisions, and learn about the structure of the UMC.

General Conference is the worldwide gathering of United Methodists that happens every 4 years for the purposes of electing leaders, adopting a budget, and revising the Book of Discipline (our denomination's guidebook). The next meeting of the General Conference is coming up April 23 - May 3, 2024, and will be held in Charlotte, NC.

There are many significant topics and proposals that will be addressed at this gathering, including (but not limited to):
- Updating the denomination's Social Principles
- The denomination's position on human sexuality
- A potential shift in the global structure of the denomination

Each week Pastor Christy invites ALL WUMC members to gather via zoom for check-in and prayer. We pray for all those on the church's prayer list and any others who are mentioned in our time together.

Do you enjoy singing? Join the adult choir! The choir practices on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings and provides music every week. Men are particularly invited to join!

Our mission is to support spiritual growth among youths and men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others.

WUMC's handbell choir practices weekly on Wednesday evenings and performs every month or two. The ability to read music is helpful but not required.
