Students in 6th-12th Grades participate in WUMC's Youth ministries.
One of the primary components of our Youth ministries is small group application of scripture in everyday life. Our Youth learn and review Bible stories and discuss God's message in these stories and how the lessons apply to daily decisions of life and faith.
Recognizing that each person's faith journey is unique, our pastor offers a Confirmation Class for students to guide them when they are considering making a formal profession of faith. Should a Youth decide to become a professing member of the United Methodist Church, a Confirmation service is held during worship to welcome them into the Church.
Our Youth are active in serving our community through local service projects and summer mission trips. There are also a variety of fellowship opportunities for our Youth to spend time with one another in a loving and supportive environment, with caring mentors who encourage and nourish them.
Many of our Youth are regular participants in worship leadership. They acolyte, read scripture, sing, play instruments, participate in dramatic presentations, and more!
