SEEKING: Honest Questions for Deeper Faith

This year’s Lenten scriptures offer many stories of Jesus encountering people who are seeking. What unfolds in these stories is an exchange filled with questions and exploration. Often, an unveiling occurs—assumptions are disrupted, a new perspective is revealed, mystery grows.

This year’s Lenten series is founded by A Sanctified Art and is entitled SEEKING: Honest Questions for Deeper Faith. Each week, we consider a new question. Many of the weekly questions feel restorative (“Can these bones live?”). Some feel like a charge or challenge (“Who will you listen to?”). Some questions are hopeful and curious (“How do we begin again?”). It’s important to know that our questions won't necessarily lead to definitive answers, but they can help us find clarity and a new perspective. Ultimately, we pray they lead to a new beginning, a restoration, a wider grace as we deepen our faith and practice committed discipleship.

SHARING OUR WARM WESTHAMPTON WELCOME

In these times of social distancing, WUMC's Worship Design Team thought it might be a fun idea to have a visible way to express a "Warm Westhampton Welcome" to one another.

Simply make a "W" with your hands. Just put your thumbs together and extend your pointer finger and Voila, you can extend a Warm Westhampton Welcome to anyone!

We hope you'll join us in sharing this sign of warmth with one another!
